The Experience

More than a wedding — a marriage

Marriage is incredible, and I’m so happy you’ve found each other. I want you both relaxed and free to enjoy every minute of your day — I’m just here to catch it.

  1. Raw & Real

    In the moment

I want you both to feel completely free to be yourselves, surrounded by your people as you start this journey together. The words, the vows, the connections — these moments are precious, and it’s such a joy to capture.

  2. Capturing Who You Are

    Your story

I don’t take for granted that I have a front‑row seat to one of the greatest moments of your lives. It’s a blast directing you in beautiful light, but more than that, I love catching the candid moments between you and the people sharing this time with you.

  3. Remember These Moments

    Legacy

My deepest hope is that these photographs become a permanent reminder of your love. That you look back on them in happy times and hard times alike, and are encouraged by the visual legacy of the choice you made to keep choosing each other.

Behind the Camera

About Me —

My name is Mike Thezier (pronounced tee‑zee‑ey) — my last name looks nothing like it sounds. I’m a film and digital photographer, and I’ve spent years photographing couples on the best day of their lives.

I was born and raised in California, and my life has taken me all over the world — especially France, where half my family lives. My wife Janna and I have three kids, so I know a thing or two about what makes a marriage, not just a wedding. That’s the part I’m really photographing.

It’s my goal to make photographs that tell your story — genuine, unforced, and true to the two of you. The kind you’ll still love when you’re showing them to your grandkids.

How it works

Good to Know

Questions —

What’s the process to book, and what happens after?

Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, the planning continues. I’ll work with you and your planner to guide you through building the timeline and talk through every element of your day. About a month out, I send a simple questionnaire to organize the formal family portraits so we don’t miss any combinations you want, and we have a final call to go over last‑minute details. Then you just focus on enjoying your day.

What’s your turnaround time?

It depends on the season, but typically around 6–8 weeks for the full gallery. If your package includes an album, we’ll work on that together after the gallery is delivered.

Do I need two photographers?

I have a second photographer with me at most weddings, but it isn’t always a necessity. It depends on what you want captured and how the day is structured, among a few other factors — we’ll go over the options during our initial conversation.

What’s the album creation process like?

From your gallery, you’ll mark images as favorites, which helps me choose what goes in the album. Once those are chosen, I design it and send it over for your approval, and we make any adjustments together. Then you pick the cover material and whether you’d like embossed text on the front or a cameo window — and I send it off to be made.

Can we see a full gallery of your work?

Absolutely. I usually send a few full galleries to look over in a follow‑up email after our initial call, but feel free to email me anytime for some to look at before we talk.
